About Us:
The Crested Butte Snowsports Foundation (CBSF) is dedicated to supporting youth snowsports athletes in the Gunnison Valley by providing financial assistance and fostering community partnerships. We aim to ensure access to winter sports for all youth, regardless of economic circumstances, and to strengthen the legacy of snowsports in our region.

Position Overview:
CBSF is seeking a visionary, self-motivated Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for youth development, winter sports, and nonprofit leadership. 
A significant portion of this position involves planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising and community events that are essential to our mission and visibility.
The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to execute CBSF’s mission, oversee fundraising and program operations, and strengthen community relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic plans and annual goals in collaboration with the Board
Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor development, and sponsorships
Plan, manage, and execute major fundraising and community events
Manage organizational operations including budgeting, reporting, and compliance
Serve as the public face of the organization within the community and with partners
Oversee scholarship application processes and program impact evaluation
Coordinate with the board on governance, financial health, and strategic initiatives

Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Strong event planning and execution skills are essential
Demonstrated fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations abilities
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Passion for youth development and/or snowsports strongly preferred
Familiarity with the Gunnison Valley and its community a plus

Contract Details:
This is a contracted role; hours and responsibilities are flexible and will be finalized based on mutual agreement. Compensation is based on experience, contract terms, and scope of responsibilities.
