Since the 1880's, the Crested Butte Snowsports Foundation has supported amateur snowsports in the Gunnison Valley through scholarships, events, and partnerships that benefit local athletes and the community.

1. Youth Development – CBSF empowers young athletes by providing financial support and opportunities to pursue competitive skiing and snowboarding.
2. Preserving Local Tradition – It continues a rich snowsports legacy in Crested Butte, a community with deep roots in skiing culture since the 1880;s.
3. Equity in Access – By offering need- and merit-based scholarships, CBSF makes high-level snowsports more accessible to all local youth, regardless of financial background.

We fund programs like CB Nordic, Ski for PE, and free Wednesdays at Cranor Hill—plus scholarships that help local youth get on snow and stay active.
